Situated in Franche-Comté, or SEQUANIA as it was known in olden days, the department of the Jura is close to Switzerland.

To the North are the Doubs department and the Côte d’Or.

To the West, Saône-et-Loire.

To the South, Ain.

Its vines are grown in a gentle crescent covering about a hundred kilometres. Between Salins-les-Bains and St Amour.

This strip of land is known as "BON PAYS" or Revermont.

Lons-Le-Saunier, the administrative capital of the Jura, forms the boundary between North and South Revermont.

Its wine-growing region is bordered by the first limestone plateau of the Jura Mountains to the East, by the plain to the West.
