An exceptional event in the history of wine-making took place at Château Pécault, Arbois, on 13 November 1994: a 1774 bottle of yellow wine was opened: 220 YEARS OLD!

Harvested under King Louis XV and from a vine pruned in the reign of Louis XIV.

It had been awarded a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1868.

Its history is fully documented and the happy owner still has a few bottles left...

Sight: superb colour, clear, almost bright wine,

Smell: intense, very rich, fine and delicate,

Taste: very powerful, good body. The wood is present. Initially, powerful aromas, spices, exceptionally long at 25-30 seconds.

A MASTERPIECE!
